Another Seventh Fleet Admiral's banquet is in the books. We enjoyed seeing old friends, and hopefully made some new friends after braving the fog and snow in the great white north of Richmond, UT.

Captain Trobridge and the crew of the USS Rendezvous hosted this year's banquet, held for the second time at the Richmond City Building. Speeches were given, food was consumed, and $150 was raised from sales of magnets, custom playing cards and BINGO to support Bjo Trimble walking in the Orange County AIDS walk 2013 at Disneyland. Several books were donated to Operation Paperback as well, which the Retributor and Essex now have been supporting, sending gently worn paperback books to our troops overseas and at VA facilities, as well as their families.

PCU Essex was officially launched as a chapter-in-training by the Seventh Fleet Admiralty board during the Banquet, officially starting her career with Starfleet Command's Seventh Fleet. Commander Roger Taylor, and Lt. Commander Russell Boltz (S'rranna) were officially announced as the Commanding and Executive Officer at this time. She will be supported by Cpt. Rouviere and the crew of the Retributor during her chapter-in-training period.

Our next event will be a joint away team with the Essex, attending the Utah Jazz game February 19th (in place of the weekly RPG) vs the Golden State Warriors, tickets are $25 - contact Lt. Cdr. S'rranna for more information.
